The Fakhri A. Bazzaz and Steward T.A. Pickett Mentorship Award for Enhancing Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging in Ecology recognizes a mid- to late-career ecologist for sustained and distinguished contributions that have advanced diversity, inclusion, and belonging in ecology. The award honors two eminent ecologists whose leadership, commitment to mentoring, and dedication to broadening participation in ecology inspired generations of scientists. Both Steward T.A. Pickett and the late Fakhri A. Bazzaz, Pickett’s doctoral advisor, are remembered for their deep commitment to supporting a diverse community of aspiring ecologists and for encouraging scientists to address the most pressing ecological challenges of our time.

Nominations for this award should include a letter of nomination (2 page max), a curriculum vitae at most four pages, one required letter of support (2 page Max), and no more than two additional letters of support. The letter of nomination and letters of support should be no longer than two pages.
